Curiosity" is a track that combines spoken word poetry with instrumental jazz hip hop, featuring poet and actor Jonny Raggett. The composition is centred around melancholic piano samples, laid back guitars and gentle brass parts, creating a perfect vibe for a thoughtful spoken word.

When we're young,
Curiosity is at the tip of our tongue.
Ready to absorb, anything we adore,
That could be found.

With boundless energy, we endlessly bounce from one activity to another.
No self-awareness to scare us just joyous discovery.
Our youthful minds are newbies to the world around us.
Novelty is the key to cherished the memories.
Those fresh eyes are yet to recognise, the red flags that leave away to adulthood.
As we grow and mature and thrust upon us eldest demand that we calm and grow up.
An expression made no sense to me at the time,
What do you mean to be mature grow up?
Did they mean to be a mind? Become a social bore?
But as we explore the world there's more depth to it
That our activities have an effect that we must reflect upon
To be able to look inwards objectively
Without judgment and learn empathy
Drop our egos, take some responsibility
We all learn from our own history
And that will breed humility
Evolving emotional intelligence is a powerful weapon,
Rationality will gain is many victories in times of trouble
As life hurdles grey our hair and tire our minds,
Remember that youthful curiosity as novelty become a rarity if we let it,
So, become responsible but not bored
Sensible but curious
As lack of curiosity is a symptom of secret suicide
And life's too shower to live mentally numb
